With some up and over style garage doors you could be searching for locks nearing fifty years old! Some of the older and obsolete garage door locks can be replaced with modern alternatives but a specialist locksmith like myself should be able to source a good percentage of old stock items too.

Lost Keys/Locked Out?
If you've lost the keys to your garage door you will likely need a lock barrel replacement or a new locking handle, depending on the type of mechanism installed. The older up and over garage doors often featured a locking T shaped handle with a lock incorporated into the centre, more modern doors typically use a euro style lock similar to what you'd have installed on a upvc door. I keep a range of garage door locks in stock to cover most jobs in a single visit but can order anything more unusual in within a few days.
